Prof. Abayomi Oluwatosin Jiboku 2025 Research Grant

Established to honor Professor Abayomi Oluwatosin Jiboku’s lifelong dedication to academic excellence and scientific innovation, this grant seeks to empower researchers to address pressing global challenges through cutting-edge chemical research.

Formerly known as the Dr. Abayomi Oluwatosin Jiboku Foundation, the Prof. Abayomi Oluwatosin Jiboku Foundation (AOJF) is a non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established by Prof. Abayomi Oluwatosin Jiboku. Our mission is centered on providing invaluable educational support to the vibrant Nigerian youth population.

Chemistry Research Grant

The Professor Abayomi Oluwatosin Jiboku Foundation Chemistry Research Grant is designed to assist academically promising but indigent students with the goal of contributing to knowledge in their research work. This research grant will cater to final-year students in the Chemistry and Biochemistry departments of federal and state universities in the Southwest region. Recognizing the crucial role of chemistry in addressing global challenges, the Prof. Abayomi Oluwatosin Jiboku Foundation is committed to nurturing the talent and potential of aspiring chemists.

Our History

Formally registered and recognized as a certified NGO under the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Abuja, our journey began with a humble yet ambitious vision. AOJF was officially launched at The Centre for Management Development, Lagos, on Wednesday, 29th February, 2012. Since then, we have been steadfast in our commitment to empowering and nurturing the educational aspirations of Nigerian youth.

Research Grant

The 2024 research grant was an outstanding success, featuring remarkable contributions from students in the Chemistry and Biochemistry departments. This prestigious grant, named in honor of Professor Abayomi Oluwatosin Jiboku, supports innovative research by students from select universities, fostering academic excellence and groundbreaking discoveries in these critical scientific fields.

Most influential Foundation Towards Student Development In Ogun State

Our Workshops

Workshops and seminars were organized across the Twenty Local Government Areas of Ogun State for Public Secondary Schools’ Principals and Vice Principals.

As part of the effort to broaden the Foundation’s scope, a workshop was conducted in collaboration with Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, and Federal College of Education, Osiele, Abeokuta. This aimed at training Public Secondary Schools’ Principals and Vice Principals in the 20 Local Government Areas of Ogun State as part of the Foundation’s Corporate Social Responsibility in advancing the education sector. The workshop, themed “Modern Teaching Methodology,” took place on Thursday, 21st June 2018.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

Since its inception in 2012, AOJF has awarded various scholarships to approximately one thousand students who have shown exceptional academic performance but face financial constraints. These scholarships have been extended across different geographical zones of Nigeria, encompassing Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education, and the School of Nursing, regardless of ethnic or religious background.
