Final year students of Chemistry and Biochemistry in public institutions of higher learning across South-west zone in Nigeria. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and a strong commitment to advancing their knowledge in chemistry through research.
To apply, visit our website www.paojf.org during the application period and complete the online application form. Ensure that you have all the required documents ready for submission.
Applicants must submit a completed application form, a detailed research proposal, a letter of attestation from the supervisor, Head of department and Dean of student affairs. Specific document requirements can be found in the application guidelines.
The selection process is based on the quality of the research proposal, academic achievement, financial need, and the potential impact of the research on the field of chemistry. A committee of experts will review and evaluate all applications.
- • The Research Grant will be open to current 300-level undergraduate students enrolled in the chemistry or biochemistry program in the selected University.
• A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent depending on the scoring system in each Institution is required.
• Applicants should demonstrate a strong interest in research beyond their current coursework, potentially highlighting previous research experiences or extracurricular activities.
• The proposed research project must fall within the scope of chemistry, biochemistry and its related fields.
• The research proposal must outlining background to the study, statement of problem, scope, justification and materials and methods between 1, 500 and 2000 words
• The research project should be feasible within the timeframe of their upcoming final year, starting in June 2024.
• The research must demonstrate financial need will be considered through the supervisors and departments.
When will the results of the grant application be announced
Successful applicants will be notified through mail. Please regularly check your email and the foundation’s website for updates.
Grant recipients are expected to conduct their research in a dedicated and diligent manner. Regular progress reports may be required, and recipients may be invited to share their findings with the foundation’s community.
We encourage grantees to publish their research findings. It is not a mandatory requirement for receiving the grant.
However All publications, presentations, and other forms of dissemination arising from research funded by Foundation should be acknowledged.
